Van Trainers originated from the East Coast of the United States when the founder of the company, Paul Van Doren, decided that he wanted to sell shoes directly to the public rather than through retailers. He opened a factory and began retailing his shoes in his own stores in 1966; thus removing the middle men. The business grew and grew and Van Trainers became a real sensation; the company was wise enough to learn from their customers along the way and provided what they wanted and removed what they didn’t like.

Vans Trainers are particularly appealing to people who like skateboarding, snowboarding, or surfing, but many individuals just like the look and were them as a fashion item. They are a brand of shoe that are comfortable to wear and allow the wearer to create the impression of been a free spirit and relaxed about life. Vans Trainers started off as a small business but now these shoes are sold everywhere around the world there are almost a couple of hundred companies that sell them as well.

The biggest appeal of Vans Trainers is that they just feel so good to wear and owning them is like joining a club. This is not a club with lots of regulations but one that prizes individuality and the spirit of freedom. These are items that started off as a craze over fifty years ago but have somehow managed to remain in fashion for all of this time. Of course the popularity of Vans Trainers have peaked and waned but they keep on coming back. New shoes are frequently being added to the collection and this keeps everything nice and fresh. It is hard to say exactly why Vans Trainers are the number one skate shoe but the best answer is that they are just so cool.
